Branding is the process of giving a name or a sign or a symbol etc., to a product. Without a brand name no one could differentiate a product from other similar products. Branding requires a lot of investment but it also gives a higher return to the marketers after its success.

Brand: A brand is a name, term, sign, symbol, design or some combination of them, used to identify the product-goods or services of one seller or group of sellers and to differentiate them from those of the competitors.
